Flanger

The Flanger covers both eras of the effect. Classic mode is the familiar jet sweep with up to +-95% feedback, polarity flip and stereo phase offset; Through-Zero mode crosses the delay against a dry copy for the true tape-machine whoosh that classic hardware faked.

Constant Pitch mode is the modern twist: you get the moving jet-engine sweep without the cumulative pitch wobble of a traditional flanger, so it stays musical on melodic material. Feedback filters and a low guard keep the resonance focused where you want it.

Why it hits different

The GhostWare take.

  • True through-zero flanging, the real tape effect.
  • Constant Pitch mode: the sweep without the seasickness.
  • Filtered feedback path for tuned, controlled resonance.

Control Showcase

Every control, explained.

12 controls, named exactly as they appear in the plugin.

Rate 0.01 to 5 Hz (default 0.2 Hz)

Sweep speed when not synced.

Sync

Locks the timing to your session tempo at the chosen note value instead of free-running.

Off1/11/21/41/81/16
Delay 0.05 to 8 ms (default 0.8 ms)

Base delay time - the center point the jet-engine sweep travels around.

Depth 0 to 5 ms (default 0.6 ms)

How far the sweep travels around the base delay.

Feedback -95 to 95 % (default 35 %)

Regeneration - more resonance and metallic ring. Negative flips the character hollow.

Stereo 0 to 180 deg (default 90 deg)

LFO phase offset between channels for stereo motion.

Polarity

Add blends the delayed copy in normally for a fuller sweep; Subtract flips it for a hollower, scooped character.

AddSubtract
Low Guard 20 to 500 Hz (default 20 Hz)

Keeps the flanging out of the low end below this frequency.

FB HP 20 to 2000 Hz (default 20 Hz)

High-passes the feedback path.

FB LP 1000 to 20000 Hz (default 20000 Hz)

Low-passes the feedback path.

Thru Zero

Lets the sweep cross the zero point against a dry copy - the true tape-flange whoosh.

Mode

Classic is the traditional modulated delay; Constant Pitch avoids the pitch wobble while keeping the sweep.
