Version 2.1.2

August 8, 2026

GhostInTheMachine 2.2.0 (unreleased) IMPROVED - Auto Pitch's Flex control now separates the sung note's centre from its vibrato: the note itself is pulled fully onto pitch while Flex only decides how much of the natural vibrato and drift to keep. A phrase sung slightly flat now lands in tune WITH its vibrato intact, instead of staying flat in proportion to the Flex setting. A new Flex Mode switch on the module chooses between the new Center behaviour and the original Classic one; sessions and presets saved with earlier versions keep the original behaviour bit-for-bit. GhostInTheMachine 2.1.1 FIXED - Knob values are back: every module parameter knob shows its live value again while you turn it (with the right units - %, dB, etc.). - The GHOSTMODE intensity read-out now uses a neon-glow treatment that stays readable on the polished dark-silver cap and brightens as the knob is turned up. - The growing edge glow that tracks how far a knob is turned is restored on the module mix knobs, the macro knobs, and the main GHOSTMODE knob. - The Warmth macro's ember animation now visibly breathes (it pulses in size as well as brightness) on both the Warmth knob and the ghost companion. GhostInTheMachine 2.1.0 NEW - Real-photo finish: the macro knobs, the master output knob, and the visualizer/meter well backdrops (Granular, Filter Motion, FibraVerb, the meter bridge and the spectrum display) now render from photographed metal-and-glass art with a matching accent-tinted glow, replacing the previous flat procedural drawing. Falls back to the original procedural look automatically if the art ever fails to load, so nothing goes blank. IMPROVED - The ghost companion now appears consistently across every module editor, each with space reserved so it never overlaps a control. - AI Analyze's status line now shows it is still working during a long wait ("still working, Ns") instead of sitting on a static line that looks frozen, and a click that lands while a previous request is still finishing tells you it fell back to offline analysis instead of doing so silently. FIXED - The master output knob's glow no longer flashes empty for a frame when a fresh instance loads or you switch modes quickly. - Tightened the AI mastering true-peak check so a narrow class of very hot masters can no longer slip past the ceiling undetected. Existing sessions and presets load bit-exact - nothing about your saved chains or sound changes in this update. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GhostInTheMachine 2.0.0 NEW - AI Analyze and One-Touch mixes now aim for commercial-ready loudness, dynamic range and true-peak levels tailored to your mood choice, follow genre-aware mixing conventions, apply effects in a sensible order, and are checked against a true-peak-accurate quality gate before being handed back. - When you run AI Analyze without typing a prompt, it now listens to your audio and works out a likely genre (Rock, EDM, hip-hop and more) to steer the mix, instead of falling back to one generic default. - Filter Motion's Phi8 engine gains real teeth: Motion Mode (6 movement styles), Orbit, Symmetry Break and Stereo Phase were visible in 1.9.0 but silently did nothing - they are now fully wired in and audible. - Filter Motion's Env Mode gains a working Transient option (a fast-attack follower built for rhythmic material) alongside Peak and RMS. IMPROVED - Filter Motion Phi8: Phi Amount now creates motion right away on a fresh preset, instead of needing a separate, easy-to-miss per-slot depth raised first. - Filter Motion Phi8: Prism motion now moves on its own instead of sitting static until you also raise its separate Influence knob. - Hover tooltips added across Filter Motion's visualizer and readouts. FIXED - AI Analyze no longer intermittently fails or hangs when the selected AI model doesn't support a requested setting - this is now handled gracefully with a clear message instead of stalling. COMPATIBILITY - If you had already moved Filter Motion's Motion Mode, Orbit, Symmetry Break or Stereo Phase away from their defaults (they were visible but did nothing before this update), your saved preset or session will now sound different, because those settings are audible for the first time. - Filter Motion's Env Mode drops its non-functional "Prism" choice. Plain session/preset recall is unaffected, but a VST3 automation lane recorded against the old Env Mode list may land on a different choice after updating - check or re-record it. Existing sessions and presets load bit-exact - nothing else about your saved chains or sound changes in this update. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GhostInTheMachine 1.9.0 NEW - Filter Motion is reborn as a flagship of the Golden-Ratio Series. Under the hood it is a whole new engine: instead of a single sweeping filter it now runs a small bank of filters whose cutoffs are spaced by the golden ratio (phi) and move together as one living shape. New controls let you dial it in - Phi Amount and Spread set how far the lattice fans out, Lattice Nodes choose how many filters play at once (1, 3, 5 or 8), the Golden Aperture topology and the Golden Spiral / Quasicrystal geometries reshape the bank, and a Phi Lattice motion source drifts the whole thing over time. At Phi Amount 0 it sounds exactly like the classic Filter Motion, so nothing you have already made changes. - 15 new factory presets built around the new Filter Motion, from a gentle "Golden Starting Point" to full quasicrystal swarms. The preset library now holds 172. - Auto Key in Auto Pitch: switch on Auto Key and the module listens to your audio, works out its musical key and scale, and tunes to it automatically - no more setting the key by hand. The editor shows what it hears live (for example "AUTO KEY: A min") and reads "listening" until it locks on. Leave Auto Key off and Auto Pitch behaves exactly as before. IMPROVED - In the GhostMode chain inspector you can now double-click any module row to open its full editor, not just the small Edit button. Existing sessions and presets load bit-exact - nothing about your saved chains or sound changes in this update. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GhostInTheMachine 1.7.3 NEW - Import your own audio: bring any audio file into GhostMode - use the Import pill or just drag a file (from your desktop or your DAW) straight onto the plugin. GhostMode decodes the first 6 minutes and analyzes it exactly like a live capture, so you can prescribe a chain from a reference track without routing a thing. - Trim before you analyze: click the held waveform (or the Trim pill) to open a non-destructive editor and pick the exact passage GhostMode listens to. Nothing is written to your session - the selection is always re-adjustable and silence is refused honestly. - Capture from your sidechain: a new IN / SC source pill lets GhostMode record the external sidechain bus instead of the plugin input, so you can fingerprint a ducking or keying source directly. - Redesigned Add Module browser: bespoke raised module cards with category-colored accents, plus two new filter dropdowns - browse by Section (Dynamics, Delay, Spectral and more) or by Purpose (what you're working on: vocals, drums, bass, mastering...), which surfaces the best-fit effects first. - GhostMode on by default: fresh instances open already engaged and ready to capture, analyze and prescribe. FIXED - An imported or trimmed passage now appears in the capture waveform strip immediately, instead of showing an empty pane until the next capture. - The file-drop glow is now a much brighter, thicker neon bloom so it's obvious the plugin is armed to receive your file. - Cancelling an AI Analyze no longer leaves the panel stuck on "Analyzing...", and the license readout no longer hangs on "Checking license...". - The GhostMode status line now reads "active" correctly when you open the editor on a stopped/idle host (it previously could show "off" even with the dial engaged). Existing sessions and presets load bit-exact - nothing about your saved chains or sound changes in this update. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GhostInTheMachine 1.7.0 NEW - GhostMode grows from 20 to 83 moods, organized into five browsable groups: Instruments, Moods, Production, Mixing and Mastering. Flip through them with the new < GROUP > pager on the GhostMode panel - the style chips now show one group at a time. - Every mood works everywhere: the free offline analysis engine builds a dedicated chain recipe for each of the 83 moods, and the optional AI layer understands them all too (the mood, its intent and its group now travel with every AI Analyze). - Honest by design: corrective moods (Instruments, Mixing, Mastering) stay faithful to your source, while transformative moods (most of Production and the bolder Moods) are held to a minimum-change floor, so "Mangle" never comes back sounding polite. COMPATIBILITY - The GhostMode mode list grew from 20 to 83 entries. VST3 stores automation as normalized 0..1, so a mode lane RECORDED with an older build decodes against the new list after updating and will land on a different mood - re-record any old VST3 GhostMode-style lanes. Plain session/preset recall and AU automation are unaffected. Existing sessions and presets load bit-exact - nothing else about your saved chains or sound changes in this update. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GhostInTheMachine 1.6.2 FIXED - BPM readout and HOST button now sit cleanly in every module editor. In StutterGate the readout was floating over the Gesture selector and Latch button; in Filter Motion, Chorus, Flanger, Vibrato, Beat Repeat, Reverse and Tape Stop it overlapped the right-side level meter; in Width Motion and Spectral Freeze it overlapped both meters. Each editor now places the readout in its own reserved gap. Existing sessions and presets load bit-exact - nothing about your saved chains or sound changes in this update. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GhostInTheMachine 1.3.1 NEW - Phi Spectral EQ: a new flagship spectral resonance processor. It listens across the whole spectrum, finds harsh or ringing resonances and smooths them out automatically - with transient protection so drums keep their punch, delta and band-listen monitoring, and a live spectrum display in its full-screen editor. The module lineup grows to 34. - 15 new factory presets showcasing Phi Spectral EQ (library now 142). Existing sessions and presets load bit-exact - nothing about your saved chains or sound changes in this update. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GhostInTheMachine 1.2.3 COMPATIBILITY - Universal macOS build: the plugin now ships with native Apple Silicon AND Intel code in one installer. Fixes "validation passed but could not be opened" in Logic's Plug-In Manager on Macs whose chip type did not match the build machine (auval: OpenAComponent result -1). - Minimum system pinned to macOS 12 regardless of the machine the release was built on. Existing sessions and presets load bit-exact - nothing about your saved chains or sound changes in this update. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GhostInTheMachine 1.2.2 SECURITY - License security update: the signing keys that protect license activation were rotated. This update is REQUIRED to keep activating licenses and receiving license refreshes - older versions will stop validating new activations. Existing activated installs keep working offline, but should update before their next activation or machine change. Existing sessions and presets load bit-exact - nothing about your saved chains or sound changes in this update.

GhostInTheMachine 1.7.3 NEW - Import your own audio: bring any audio file into GhostMode - use the Import pill or just drag a file (from your desktop or your DAW) straight onto the plugin.

Version 1.2.1

July 21, 2026

GhostInTheMachine 1.2.1 NEW - Licensing and the GhostWare store: activate the plugin with a GW- license key, buy AI credit packs or the one-time Full License from the in-plugin store, and redeem promo codes - all without leaving the plugin. Your license works offline once activated. - Demo mode: unlicensed installs are fully usable for auditioning - every module, GhostMode and the free offline Analyze included - with a periodic output mute and preset saving disabled until a license is activated. - AI credits: each AI Analyze on the built-in GhostWare service uses one credit. Credits never expire and purchases stack; the Full License includes three starter credits. Offline Analyze and the entire effect engine remain free and unlimited. IMPROVED - AI Analyze is more dependable on slow connections: the analysis deadline was extended to two minutes, and when the service declines a request the plugin now shows the specific reason instead of a generic failure. FIXED - The GhostMode panel title no longer smears into unreadable pixels at high energy tiers ("TOTAL POSSESSION"), especially right after toggling GhostMode or re-running Analyze. Existing sessions and presets load bit-exact - nothing about your saved chains or sound changes in this update.
