Multiband Dynamics

Multiband Dynamics splits the signal at two movable crossovers and gives each band its own threshold, amount, attack and release - plus its own mode: compress down, lift quiet detail up, or expand for extra punch. Mixing modes per band is where it gets powerful: tighten the lows while opening the highs in one pass.

Per-band solo and bypass buttons make honest dialing-in easy, and the band split itself is selectable: a classic analog-style split with zero delay (LR4), or a precision split that keeps all three bands perfectly time-aligned for mastering work (linear phase).

Xover Low 40 to 800 Hz (default 200 Hz)

Split point between the low and mid bands.

Xover High 800 to 12000 Hz (default 2500 Hz)

Split point between the mid and high bands.

Low Thresh -60 to 0 dB (default -18 dB)

Level where the low band's dynamics start working.

Low Amount 0 to 100 % (default 0 %)

How much dynamic processing the low band gets. 0 leaves it untouched.

Low Attack 0.1 to 100 ms (default 20 ms)

Reaction speed of the low band's detector.

Low Release 10 to 1000 ms (default 200 ms)

Recovery speed of the low band's gain.

Low Solo on / off

Listen to the low band alone while you dial it in.

Low Bypass on / off

Passes the low band through untouched.

Mix 0 to 100 % (default 100 %)

Blend between the untouched signal and the processed one. 100% is fully wet.

Crossover

How the signal is split into bands: LR4 is the zero-delay analog-style split; Linear Phase keeps the bands perfectly time-aligned at the cost of a little delay.

Lookahead 0 to 10 ms (default 0 ms)

Lets the detector see a few milliseconds ahead so it can react before a peak arrives (adds that much latency).
