Bass Control

Bass Control is the low-end command center. Its Perceived engine generates harmonics that read as bass on laptop speakers and earbuds; its True Sub engine synthesizes a real sub-bass locked to the source; run Both and small speakers hear weight while big systems feel it.

Around the generators sit the discipline tools: a mono-maker below your chosen frequency, cleanup high-pass, dynamic low-end leveling, and Kick Duck - feed the plugin's sidechain input your kick and the bass automatically ducks out of its way with an adjustable release. The eternal kick-versus-bass fight, settled inside one module.

Why it hits different

The GhostWare take.

  • Perceived and true sub engines, separately mixable.
  • Kick Duck rides the bass around your kick from the sidechain input.
  • Punch, mono-making and dynamic control keep the low end club-safe.

Control Showcase

Every control, explained.

14 controls, named exactly as they appear in the plugin.

Engine

What builds the low end: Perceived (harmonics that read as bass on small speakers), True Sub (a real synthesized sub) or Both.

PerceivedTrue SubBoth
Focus 30 to 160 Hz (default 80 Hz)

The fundamental frequency region the module locks onto.

Harmonics 0 to 100 % (default 35 %)

Level of the generated harmonics for perceived bass.

Sub 0 to 100 % (default 20 %)

Level of the synthesized sub.

Punch 0 to 100 % (default 0 %)

Adds a transient snap to the low end.

Mono Below 20 to 200 Hz (default 120 Hz)

Collapses everything below this frequency to mono.

Cleanup HPF 0 to 60 Hz (default 0 Hz)

Cleans rumble below this frequency. 0 disables.

Dry Bass -24 to 0 dB (default 0 dB)

Turns down the original bass so the generated low end can replace it.

Harm Color

Color of the harmonic stack: Medium, Rich or Dark.

MediumRichDark
Env Decay 20 to 1000 ms (default 80 ms)

How fast the sub envelope lets go after each note.

Punch Time 5 to 100 ms (default 30 ms)

Length of the punch transient.

Dyn Control -12 to 0 dB (default 0 dB)

Dynamically controls low-end level so it stays consistent.

Kick Duck 0 to 100 % (default 0 %)

Kick-duck: how hard the bass ducks when the sidechain input (your kick) hits.

Duck Rel 20 to 1000 ms (default 250 ms)

How fast the bass returns after each kick duck.
