Dynamic EQ

Dynamic EQ takes the four complaints every mix engineer mutters - mud, boxiness, harshness, brittleness - and gives each one a knob. Each control watches its own frequency region and cuts only when the buildup actually happens, leaving the signal untouched the rest of the time.

Sensitivity and Speed tune how eagerly all four bands react, Max Cut hard-limits how deep they are allowed to dig, and the cuts automatically get narrower as they get deeper, so even aggressive settings stay surgical. It is the fix-it EQ you can set in ten seconds and trust for the whole song.

Mud Control 0 to 100 % (default 0 %)

Dynamically cuts low-mid mud (around 250 Hz) only when it builds up.

Box Control 0 to 100 % (default 0 %)

Dynamically cuts boxiness (around 500 Hz) when it appears.

Harsh Control 0 to 100 % (default 0 %)

Dynamically tames harshness (around 3 kHz) on loud moments.

Brittle Control 0 to 100 % (default 0 %)

Dynamically softens brittle top end (around 8 kHz) when it spikes.

Sensitivity 0 to 100 % (default 50 %)

How easily the bands react - the master threshold.

Speed 0 to 100 % (default 50 %)

Overall reaction speed of all four bands.

Max Cut 1 to 12 dB (default 6 dB)

The deepest cut any band is allowed to make.

Detector

RMS reacts to average energy; Peak reacts to spikes.

RMSPeak
Hysteresis 0 to 12 dB (default 0 dB)

Adds a gap between where a band engages and where it lets go, so it stops fluttering around its threshold.

Prop Q

Makes each band narrower as it cuts deeper, so big cuts stay surgical instead of scooping tone.

Links the bands so they partially move together.
