Module Reference · Glitch & Destruction

Reverse

Reverse plays the recent past backwards, live. Five modes shape how: Swell leads into beats with rising reversed audio, Repeat loops reversed chunks rhythmically, Throw flips occasional moments, Texture lays a continuous reversed bed, and Into Dry feeds reversed swells underneath the untouched signal.

Chunks sync to note values up to 1/32, trigger sensitivity decides what starts a reverse, and repitch, overlap, feedback and a filter turn simple reversal into full sound design. The stereo offset staggers left and right windows for width.

Why it hits different

The GhostWare take.

  • Five distinct reverse behaviors, not one static flip.
  • Trigger sensing reverses off the music itself.
  • Feedback and repitch push it from effect to instrument.

Control Showcase

Every control, explained.

13 controls, named exactly as they appear in the plugin.

Mode

How reversed audio is used: Swell (leads into the beat), Repeat (rhythmic loops), Throw (occasional flips), Texture (ambient bed) or Into Dry (reversed swells feeding the dry hit).

SwellRepeatThrowTextureInto Dry
Length 50 to 4000 ms (default 500 ms)

Length of each reversed chunk.

Sync

Locks the timing to your session tempo at the chosen note value instead of free-running.

Off1/11/21/41/81/161/32
Fade 0 to 100 % (default 50 %)

Fade shape at chunk boundaries to remove clicks.

Trigger Sense 0 to 100 % (default 50 %)

How easily the reverse triggers off incoming hits.

Smoothness 0 to 100 % (default 50 %)

Overall smoothing of the reversed playback.

Repitch -12 to 12 st (default 0 st)

Pitch-shifts the reversed audio.

Overlap 0 to 100 % (default 0 %)

Overlaps consecutive reversed chunks for a continuous wash.

Feedback 0 to 95 % (default 0 %)

Feeds reversed output back in for compounding swells.

Filter

A filter on the reversed signal: low-pass, high-pass or band-pass.

OffLPHPBP
Cutoff 20 to 20000 Hz (default 16000 Hz)

The corner frequency of the filter.

Q 0.3 to 8 (default 0.707)

Width of the filter: low values are broad and gentle, high values are narrow and surgical.

Stereo Offset 0 to 100 ms (default 0 ms)

Offsets the left and right reverse windows for width.
