Stereo Image

Stereo Image is the width department. Master width from mono to 200%, three independent width bands with movable crossovers, a mono-maker for the low end, and mid/side gains for quick center-versus-sides tradeoffs. Rotation turns the whole field like repositioning a mic array.

The Creative mode unlocks the generators - Stereoize, which turns a mono source stereo by making the two sides subtly different; micro-pitch width; and a short one-sided delay that the ear reads as width (Haas) - while the safety net stays on duty: an auto-guard that reins width back in before the sides start canceling each other out, a hard out-of-phase guard, and transient width reduction that keeps hits centered and solid.

Why it hits different

The GhostWare take.

  • Width per band: wide highs, solid mono bass, in one pass.
  • Three width generators for making stereo out of mono.
  • Auto width safety and an out-of-phase guard keep it mono-safe and broadcast-legal.

Control Showcase

Every control, explained.

21 controls, named exactly as they appear in the plugin.

Width 0 to 200 % (default 100 %)

Master stereo width: 0% is mono, 100% is unchanged, 200% is super-wide.

Mono Below 0 to 500 Hz (default 0 Hz)

Collapses everything below this frequency to mono for solid, club-safe bass.

Mid Gain -12 to 12 dB (default 0 dB)

Level of the center (mid) channel.

Side Gain -12 to 12 dB (default 0 dB)

Level of the sides - the quick width-vs-focus tradeoff.

Balance -100 to 100 % (default 0 %)

Left/right balance of the output.

Corr Safety 0 to 100 % (default 0 %)

Automatically reins width back in when the two sides start to cancel each other out.

Mode

Safe keeps everything mono-compatible; Creative unlocks the aggressive width tools.

SafeCreative
Low Width 0 to 200 % (default 100 %)

Width of the low band only.

Mid Width 0 to 200 % (default 100 %)

Width of the mid band only.

High Width 0 to 200 % (default 100 %)

Width of the high band only.

Low X 60 to 1000 Hz (default 250 Hz)

Split between the low and mid width bands.

High X 1000 to 12000 Hz (default 4000 Hz)

Split between the mid and high width bands.

Stereoize 0 to 100 % (default 0 %)

Generates stereo width from mono material by making the two sides subtly different.

Micro Pitch 0 to 100 % (default 0 %)

Tiny opposite pitch offsets on left and right for lush width.

Haas 0 to 30 ms (default 0 ms)

Delays one side a few milliseconds - a trick the ear reads as instant width (Haas effect).

Side Tone -12 to 12 dB (default 0 dB)

Tone control on the side channel only - brighten the width without touching the center.

Rotation -45 to 45 deg (default 0 deg)

Rotates the entire stereo field like turning the mic array.

Side Tilt -12 to 12 dB (default 0 dB)

Tilt EQ on the sides: darker or brighter width.

Tilt Pivot 100 to 8000 Hz (default 650 Hz)

Pivot frequency for the side tilt.

Anti-Phase Guard

Hard guard that stops the sides from ever flipping fully against each other (out of phase), which would vanish in mono.

OffOn
Transient Width 0 to 100 % (default 0 %)

Narrows the image just on transients so hits stay centered and solid.
