Width Motion

Width Motion animates the stereo image itself. Pick a target - side level, side difference, micro-pitch, side delay or side tone - and sweep it with a tempo-syncable LFO in sine, triangle or random shapes. The image breathes with the track instead of sitting still.

Focus keeps the motion out of the low end, Base Width sets the resting image the motion swings around, and a safety guard with an adjustable floor guarantees the animation never drifts far enough for the two sides to cancel each other out. Subtle on a pad, dramatic on a riser.

Why it hits different

The GhostWare take.

  • Five different width mechanisms to animate, not just one gain.
  • Tempo-synced motion that locks width to the groove.
  • A safety floor means it can never go mono-illegal.

Control Showcase

Every control, explained.

10 controls, named exactly as they appear in the plugin.

Rate 0.01 to 10 Hz (default 0.5 Hz)

Speed of the width animation when not synced.

Sync

Locks the timing to your session tempo at the chosen note value instead of free-running.

Off1/11/21/41/81/16
Depth 0 to 100 % (default 0 %)

How far the width travels each cycle.

Shape

Motion shape: smooth Sine, linear Triangle or stepped Random.

SineTriangleRandom
Phase 0 to 360 deg (default 90 deg)

Phase offset between channels for more complex motion.

Focus 20 to 2000 Hz (default 20 Hz)

Keeps frequencies below this point out of the motion so bass stays put.

Base Width 0 to 200 % (default 100 %)

The resting stereo width the motion swings around.

Target

What actually moves: Side Gain (classic width), Decorrelate (making the sides differ), Micro Pitch, Side Delay (one-sided Haas delay) or Side Tilt (brighter/darker width).

Side GainDecorrelateMicro PitchSide DelaySide Tilt
Corr Guard

Safety guard that stops the motion from pushing the sides into canceling each other out.

OffOn
Min Corr -1 to 1 (default 0)

How far the guard lets the two sides drift apart before it steps in.
